FAQ
What if I go on vacation and have to miss distribution? Can I switch my pick-up date?
You sure can! In order to do this, we ask that you give us 7 days notice. If you have to miss the whole week, we don't hold your produce until the following week. In those cases, we ask that you would designate a friend or family member to pick up your produce for you and benefit from or store your share.
When does the CSA begin?
Spring distribution begins April 18, 2022. Summer distribution begins June 6, 2022. Fall distribution begins September 19, 2022. Winter distribution begins with 1 week in December, then moves to every-other week Jan-March.We'll give you plenty of notice before distribution begins!
Do I get to pick out what I want each week during distribution?
Yes and no. We have specific produce that is available each week. As you walk through the distribution line, you'll see cards indicating how much of each produce item your type of share receives. You may choose not to take something, or to put something you don't want into the Exchange Box and take something different from there.
Is everything I receive grown organically?
Absolutely! All the produce grown on our farm is USDA Certified Organic. Every now and then we provide produce from other local farms, and if it's not organic, we let you know!
I was running late and missed distribution. Can I pick up my produce later?
While we don't encourage making this a practice, if you send us a text or message letting us know you're running late, we'll pack up your share and you can pick it up during our regular open hours within the next 24 hours.
Can I send someone else to pick up my produce if I can't be there?
For sure! Just let us know who you're sending so we can be sure to help them through the distribution line.
What else can I do on distribution days besides get my veggies?
If you have time, we love for you to experience the farm in its fullness! We have a half mile walking trail through the woods and prairie, pick-your-own options, and a play area for kids. You can chat with other members and get ideas for cooking techniques and recipes. And you can purchase homemade soups, salads, and granolas from our farm kitchen, as well as other local foods from our farm stand. Yay!
