Getting your food from a CSA is a little different from getting your food at the grocery store.
So how exactly do those delicious veggies get from our farm to YOU once you’ve signed up for CSA?
You pick up your CSA share each week at our farm during our designated distribution times!
At Perkins’ Good Earth Farm
When you sign up for your CSA share, you choose one of three distribution times: Mondays 2-6 pm, Thursdays 9-10:30 am, Saturdays 9 am-noon. You’ll come to the farm, park next to the red farm stand, and come on in!
You’ll see a beautiful array of produce laid out on tables. You’ll check your name off the Farm Member List, and then comes the fun part: Walking the distribution line!
With your box or bag in hand, you’ll walk along the tables and fill your box with fresh, clean, oh-so-tasty veggies.
Dan or I will always be around to chat, answer questions, or show you around the farm.
Pretty easy–and pretty fun!
A Little More About CSA
Each week of CSA is different, and you can get an idea of what veggies and greens are in each season of CSA here on our website.
Reminder–we can predict but not guarantee what will be available each week. We do our part by making and keeping planting schedules, providing the plants with water and nutrients, and protecting them from insects and disease. But, obviously, we cannot control the weather or other external factors.
We choose to view this reality as an adventure, and we invite you to do the same! If you come to distribution with excited anticipation (ooh, what will I get to cook with this week?) rather than specific expectations (they had carrots last week—where are they this week?), we think you’ll find the whole experience much more enjoyable.
Finally, check out our farm blog for recipes, eating ideas, and storage tips for all your tasty produce! We want to make incorporating your produce into your daily eating as easy and fun as possible, and we want to hear from you how you’re doing that too.
